The Five Love Languages of Children

(Nobody in the family has a copy that I know of)

What I (Tiff) liked about it:
Gave LOTS of ideas of how to express love to your child in many different, diversified ways. It also talked about how showing love to your children on a regular basis can help reduce behavior problems and make discipline easier and I am a believer in that idea. All in all, I think you can gain some insights from it.

Firm Family Foundations

by Lili Anderson

(Tiffany has a copy)

Lili Anderson was one of my teachers in college. She really changed the way I understand the gospel and family relationships. This is a parenting book. I use her main ideas in how I try to parent our kids and I think it really makes a difference.

Love and Logic Magic for Early Childhood Practical Parenting from Birth to Six Years

by Jim Fay and Charles Fay

(Tiffany has a copy)

Awesome book! Miles ALWAYS picks up his toys immediately, every day the first time I ask as a result of one of the “experiments” in this book! (Ask me about it sometime.) So glad I read it!!

Parenting with Love and Logic

by Foster Cline and Jim Fay

(Cherece and Tiffany have copies of this)

Cherece recommended this to me a couple years ago. Great book on how to effectively discipline and teach children without resorting to yelling, threats, or permissiveness! If there’s one parenting book I’d recommend this would be it. (I think Heavenly Father is a Love and Logic parent!

Secrets of the Baby Whisperer

by Tracy Hogg

(Lindsey and Tiffany have copies of this)

Awesome book on how to parent newborns to 18 month olds!! If there was one book I’d recommend to moms of new babies this would be the book! Sleep reference guide too.

Babywise

A sleep reference guide for newborns.
